Basketball Preview: Surry Central Golden Eagles vs. Elkin Buckin' Elks

Tripp Mcmillen was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten boards. The game was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Woodring, who posted nine points and six rebounds.

Elkin has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points per game. As for Surry Central, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2.
Everything came up roses for Surry Central against Elkin in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 76-48 victory.
