The Niangua Cardinals entered their tilt with Gloria Deo Academy with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Niangua really took it to Gloria Deo Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 69-39 win on the road. Niangua has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 20 points or more this season.
Niangua's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Clayton Henderson, who scored 28 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Ethan Scheetz, who scored 21 points along with seven steals and five assists.
Niangua's win bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Gloria Deo Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Niangua on the road again on Thursday and play against Southern Missouri RUSH at 8:30 p.m. on January 25th. Gloria Deo Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Aurora Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on February 8th.
