Meadville is 8-2 against Franklin since November of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bulldogs will venture away from home to take on the Knights at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Meadville and eight for Franklin dating back to last season.

Meadville is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 47 points last Friday, they were much more limited against Sharon on Friday. They had to suffer through a 49-10 loss at the hands of the Tigers. The contest marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Franklin played a tough game on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Erie 48-7. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 552nd, while the Royals are ranked 247th).

Meadville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Franklin, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Everything came up roses for Meadville against Franklin in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 62-6 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
