Recap: Woodland Wolfpack vs. Parkview Panthers
After a string of four wins, the Woodland Wolfpack's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell 49-41 to Parkview.
Woodland's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Akira Brown, who scored nine points along with two steals. Kennedy Riley was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with four steals.
Parkview can attribute much of their success to Jaden Cooper, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedi Benton, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Woodland's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Parkview, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.
Woodland will be playing at home against Stockbridge at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Parkview, they will head out on the road to face off against Newton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Newton will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
