Volleyball Recap: Tyler Lions vs. Mt. Pleasant Tigers

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lufkin, Tyler was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Mt. Pleasant Tigers by a score of 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Tyler walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-12, 15-25, 25-20, 25-17.

Zaniah Johnson paced Tyler's offense, picking up 14 kills. Johnson got some help from Jazlynn Duran and her 21 assists. Kaelyn Mclean and Paloma Higuera kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Tyler's victory bumped their record up to 12-23. As for Mt. Pleasant, they dropped their record down to 3-27 with the defeat, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.
