Football Recap: Kanab Extends Winning Streak to Three

Kanab hadn't done well against Beaver recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Cowboys walked away with a 26-14 victory over the Beavers. The win was nothing new for the Cowboys as they're now sitting on three straight.

Brogun Virostko threw for 156 yards and one TD. Latimer Glover was his top target, picking up 73 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Hayden Gubler rushed for 160 yards and three touchdowns.

Despite the loss, Beaver still got an impressive performance from Davin Orton, who rushed for 136 yards and a pair of scores. With that strong performance, Orton is now averaging an impressive 101.8 rushing yards per game.

Kanab's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Beaver, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.

Coming up, Kanab will venture away from home to challenge Parowan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cowboys will be up against the Rams' rather soft defense (which has allowed 25.83 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Beaver, they will be playing at home against North Summit at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
