Soccer Recap: Gainesville Takes a Loss

Gainesville was the 2-1 winner over Suwannee when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Hurricanes fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday.

Jacob Eagle and Jeffery Ortega scored both of Gainesville's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Gainesville now has a losing record of 1-2-2. As for Suwannee, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Looking ahead, Gainesville will be playing in front of their home fans against The Villages Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Suwannee, they will venture away from home to challenge Santa Fe at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Suwannee's defense better be ready for this one: Santa Fe have averaged an impressive 4.2 goals per game this season.
