Basketball Game Preview: Mineral Ridge Rams vs. LaBrae Vikings

Mineral Ridge hasn't had much luck against LaBrae recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Mineral Ridge Rams are taking a road trip to take on the LaBrae Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Last Friday, Mineral Ridge beat Jackson-Milton 68-61.

It was another big night for Chase Moore, who posted 28 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Shaffer, who put up 14 points.

Meanwhile, everything went LaBrae's way against Liberty on Tuesday as LaBrae made off with a 65-41 win. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 21 points or more this season.

Mineral Ridge's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.2 points over those games. As for LaBrae, their win bumped their record up to 17-5.

Mineral Ridge suffered a grim 76-51 defeat to LaBrae in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. Can Mineral Ridge avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
