Softball Recap: South Cameron Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

South Cameron can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They blew past the Hathaway Hornets 19-9. The Tarpons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by six runs or more this season.

Annie Trahan was a standout: she scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Lexi Hooper was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 2-for-4.

South Cameron's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Hathaway, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-8-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Cameron will welcome Johnson Bayou at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hathaway, they will host Lake Charles College Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
