Basketball Recap: Buckfield Takes a Loss

After flying high against North Haven last Tuesday, Buckfield came back down to earth. The Buckfield Bucks took a 56-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Richmond Bobcats on Monday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bucks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 55-46 back in December of 2024.

Buckfield's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Richmond, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Buckfield will venture away from home to face off against Carrabec at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Carrabec will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Buckfield surely won't give up without a fight. As for Richmond, they are taking a road trip to challenge Sacopee Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
