Basketball Recap: Westbrook Piles Up the Points Against Lubbock T

Westbrook came tearing into Tuesday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They really took it to the Lubbock T Titans for the full four quarters, racking up a 64-16 victory. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Wildcats had established a 38 point advantage.

Grayson Jeffrey went supernova for Westbrook, going 10 of 15 from beyond the arc en route to 32 points and five assists. The dominant performance gave Jeffrey a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Browne, who posted ten points in addition to eight steals and six boards.

Jeffrey wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Westbrook was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Westbrook has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.5 points per game. As for Lubbock T, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-12.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Westbrook Wildcats take on the Hermleigh Cardinals at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lubbock T, they will welcome Tatum at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Tatum has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
