Football Recap: Friday's Loss Ends Hobart's Winning Streak

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hobart can now relate to. They fell just short of the South Bend Saint Joseph Huskies by a score of 10-7 on Friday. The Brickies were red-hot offensively heading into the contest (they scored no less than 31 points in the four matchups prior), but the Huskies' defense proved too tough.

Aleks Tatum threw for 26 yards on four of 15 attempts. On the ground, Max Pickett rushed for 28 yards and one touchdown.

The defeat snapped Hobart's winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 10-3 record. As for South Bend Saint Joseph, they pushed their record up to 12-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Hobart does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Bend Saint Joseph, they will head out to square off against Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Huskies 8.5, the Saints 6.7) so any points scored will be well earned.
