After only one run in their last contest, Nevada Union made sure to put some runs up on the board against Central Valley on Wednesday. The Miners blew past the Falcons 13-3. With that victory, the Miners brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.

Brogen Lyden made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Nevada Union is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 8-12 otherwise.
