Moody came into Thursday's game having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the Hubbard Jaguars on Thursday. The Bearcats' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Brayden Cano made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Cano was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Yurem Balboa, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, one run, and one double.

Moody always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .677. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Moody's victory bumped their record up to 2-9. As for Hubbard, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

Moody and Hubbard will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Bearcats are set to take on their familiar foe Bosqueville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Hubbard will face off against rival Axtell at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
