Recap: Kennedy Catholic vs. Rocky Grove Orioles
Kennedy Catholic pushed their score all the way to 63 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 75-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rocky Grove. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (57), Kennedy Catholic still had to take the loss.
Rocky Grove was led to victory by Noah Baughman and Landen Carter. Baughman scored 23 points along with five assists and three steals, while Carter shot 4-for-6 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 24 points and 13 rebounds. Baughman continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Aiden Focht was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Kennedy Catholic has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Rocky Grove, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-6.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Farrell the next time they take the court. Rocky Grove will head out to face Farrell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Kennedy Catholic will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
