Volleyball Recap: Tuesday's Defeat Ends Rushford-Peterson's Winning Streak

After a string of seven wins, Rushford-Peterson's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Chatfield Gophers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Trojans have suffered since August 26th.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-20, 25-19.

Rushford-Peterson's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Addison Drinkall, who had 12 digs and one assist, and Kayla Magin, who had 12 assists and six digs. Drinkall has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last eight times she's played.

Hannah Tweten was a one-woman wrecking crew For Chatfield. as she had 18 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Tweten has posted over her last ten matchups.

Rushford-Peterson's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Chatfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.
