Volleyball Recap: Cunningham Takes a Loss

Cunningham lost against Elyria Christian back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Wildcats fell just short of Elyria Christian by a score of 2-1. While the Wildcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating Elyria Christian 25-19 in the first set.

Cunningham started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-16, 25-16.

KYRA MORGAN paced Cunningham's offense, picking up seven kills. MORGAN got some help from MACY NEUFELD and her seven assists. MORGAN was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Cunningham's defeat dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Elyria Christian, their victory ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 11-16.

Cunningham has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Fairfield on the 7th. As for Elyria Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Centre on the 7th.
