Softball Recap: Fenton Comes Up Short

Fenton came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 8-0 to the South Elgin Storm. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Bison's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Fenton has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-16 record this season. As for South Elgin, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 21-4.

Fenton didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 12-1 defeat against West Chicago on the 12th. As for South Elgin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 6-2 victory against West Aurora on the 12th.
