Basketball Recap: Gresham Has No Trouble Against Liberty

Gresham not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since February 11, 2025 (when they won 84-59). They put the hurt on the Liberty Falcons with a sharp 64-42 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Gophers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 44th, while the Falcons are ranked 215th).

The win made it two in a row for Gresham and bumps their season record up to 7-3. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.5 points over those games. As for Liberty, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-7.

Looking ahead, Gresham will welcome Nelson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Gresham will be up against Nelson's rather soft defense (which has allowed 62.09 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Liberty has already played their next game (against Beaverton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
