Baseball Recap: Milan Comes Up Short

Milan lost to Airport on Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Big Reds came up short against the Jets, falling 15-9. That's two games in a row now that the Big Reds have lost by exactly six runs.

Gavyn Byrd stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Scottie Brewer, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Milan and nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for Airport, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Milan will square off against Huron at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Airport, they will challenge Monroe at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
