Soccer Recap: West Point Comes Up Short

West Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 5-0 to the Pontotoc Warriors. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Green Wave this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-0 back in December of 2024.

West Point's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Pontotoc, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-9.

West Point will take on Shannon at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Point is facing Shannon at the right time seeing as Shannon is stuck on a four-game losing streak. Pontotoc has already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against New Hope on the 18th.
