Mount Ida entered their tilt with Magazine on Friday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They claimed a resounding 42-13 victory over the Rattlers. The Lions' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Mount Ida didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Andy Black.

Mount Ida's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Magazine, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Mount Ida will face off against Hector at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least 31 points in their last five contests. As for Magazine, they will challenge Westside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rattlers are facing the Rebels at the right time seeing as the Rebels are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
