Basketball Recap: Midwest City Snags Ninth Victory in Last 12 Games

Lawton came into Friday's contest looking for another win against Midwest City, but DeShawn Denson II wouldn't allow it. The Midwest City Bombers snuck past the Lawton Wolverines with a 73-69 victory on Friday thanks in part to Denson II, who went 10 of 18 on his way to 28 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Midwest City's points.

Midwest City is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Lawton, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-3.

Midwest City didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 76-73 win against Del City on the 4th. Lawton has also already played their next contest (against Classen SAS), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
