Volleyball Recap: Moreau Catholic Takes a Loss

If Moreau Catholic was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Mt. Eden on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mariners came up short against the Castro Valley Trojans on Friday, falling 3-0. The Mariners have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-19, 25-14.

Moreau Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Castro Valley, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moreau Catholic will venture away from home to take on Acalanes at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Castro Valley, they will head out to square off against Granada at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
