Basketball Game Preview: Dundalk Owls vs. Woodlawn Warriors

The Dundalk Owls will head out to challenge the Woodlawn Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Dundalk and ten for Woodlawn.

Last Friday, Dundalk had to suffer through a 87-40 loss at the hands of Milford Mill Academy. While losing is never fun, the Owls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 294th, while the Millers are ranked 89th).

Meanwhile, Woodlawn came up short against Forest Park on Friday, falling 54-34.

Dundalk's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Woodlawn, their loss dropped their record down to 2-15.

Dundalk strolled past Woodlawn when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a score of 66-50. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dundalk since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
