Baseball Recap: Hillcrest Takes a Loss

Hillcrest lost against South Oak Cliff last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Panthers fell just short of the Bears by a score of 3-2. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hillcrest saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Angel Jimenez, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one RBI.

Hillcrest's loss dropped their record down to 15-7-1. As for South Oak Cliff, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 17-3.

Coming up, Hillcrest will head out to take on Creekview at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Mustangs' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for South Oak Cliff, they will take on Sunset at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
