Softball Game Preview: Tuscola Warriors vs. Red Bud Musketeers

The Tuscola Warriors will square off against the Red Bud Musketeers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

On Friday, Tuscola came up short against Crab Orchard and fell 5-1.

Tuscola saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bella Wishard, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Red Bud unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Belleville East.

Tuscola's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-8. As for Red Bud, their loss dropped their record down to 17-7.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Tuscola has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Red Bud struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8 strikeouts.
