Basketball Recap: Germantown Friends Takes a Loss

Germantown Friends lost against Friends' Central back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Germantown Friends came up short against Friends' Central, falling 74-52.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Friends' Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gabe Moore, who went 11 for 21 on his way to 29 points and seven boards. Those 29 points gave Moore a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Oben Mokonchu, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds.

Germantown Friends has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Friends' Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-12 record this season.

Germantown Friends and Samuel Fels will face off at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Friends' Central, they will square off against Audenried at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st.
