Volleyball Recap: Brooke Marlow's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Southern Coffey County over Chetopa

Southern Coffey County was the 2-0 winner over Chetopa when they last played one another on Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Titans fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Southern Coffey County started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-19, 25-19.

Southern Coffey County's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brooke Marlow, who had six aces.

Southern Coffey County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-28. As for Chetopa, their win ended a five-match drought on the road and puts them at 2-26-1.

Coming up, Southern Coffey County will take on Waverly on Tuesday. Chetopa does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
