Providence had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the Milken Wildcats by a score of 3-0 on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Pioneers also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2020.

Adrian Contreras made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. Contreras was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Providence will challenge San Marino at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Milken, they will take on Brentwood School at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
