Softball Recap: Armstrong Comes Up Short

Armstrong was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Salt Fork Storm. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 11-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Armstrong now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Salt Fork, they pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Armstrong will welcome Danville at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Salt Fork, they will take on Casey-Westfield at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Storm surely won't give up without a fight.
