Football Game Preview: Lancaster Golden Gales vs. Logan Chieftains

Lancaster is on an eight-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Logan a seven-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Lancaster Golden Gales will host the Logan Chieftains at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Lancaster is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Pickerington Central on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Golden Gales took a blow against the Tigers, falling 63-27. While losing is never fun, the Golden Gales can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 269th, while the Tigers are ranked 15th).

Meanwhile, Logan fell victim to Reynoldsburg and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Raiders 42-0. That's two games in a row now that the Chieftains have lost by exactly 42 points.

Lancaster's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Logan, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
