Prairie View was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in 5A East Metro.

Brighton scaled the state rankings by moving to 105 from 131 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Bulldogs climbed the ranks as a result of topping Boulder 33-6.

Brighton's dynamic duo of Tanner Pepin and Nate Morales proved tough for the Panthers to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Pepin threw for 267 yards and 2 touchdowns and Morales had 81 yards receiving. Tristin Wells helped Brighton's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 74 yards.

Pat Sandoval's team's dynamic duo of Pepin and Morales proved to be unstoppable against Boulder, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

Jonathan Rayas was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 137 yards on 20 carries as Thornton beat Bob Simmons' team. Adrian Kois also contributed to the rushing game with 63 yards on the ground.

Pepin put up the best numbers in passing as Brighton beat the Panthers.

He was 17-29 with 0 interception.

Morales was the best receiver in 5A East Metro this week as the Bulldogs defeated Boulder.

The leading receiver in the league this season is Demitri Montour. The Thornton star has 16 catches for 325 yards.

The Trojans are in first place, while Lincoln is in third place.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Thornton takes on the Lancers. Mike Marquez's team has allowed 73 points this season, while Lincoln has given up 37. The Trojans allowed 8 points last week as they topped Aurora Central.

Brighton took down the Panthers 33-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Pepin ran for 116 yards during the win.
