Volleyball Recap: Summit Now 10-3 over Last 13 Games

Summit won the last time they faced Silverton and things went their way on Saturday too. The Storm came out on top against the Foxes by a score of 3-1.

Summit had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 16-25, 25-16, 25-11, 25-21.

Despite the defeat, Silverton saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Brielle Goode had 21 digs and three assists. Goode has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more digs the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Tylie Johnston, who had eight digs.

Summit is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season. As for Silverton, they dropped their record down to 10-12 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Summit will face off against Crater at 8:00 a.m. on Friday. Silverton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
