Basketball Game Preview: Tanner Rattlers vs. Whitesburg Christian Academy Warriors

Tanner and Whitesburg Christian Academy are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2021, but not for long. The Tanner Rattlers will be playing at home against the Whitesburg Christian Academy Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing isn't great for Tanner: they have been struggling with 15 straight losses at home dating back to last season, while Whitesburg Christian Academy has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.

Tanner came up short against Lexington on Tuesday, falling 52-30. While losing is never fun, the Rattlers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 370th, while the Golden Bears are ranked 130th).

Aubrey Oliver put forth a good effort for the losing side as she posted eight points along with seven boards and seven steals.

Meanwhile, Whitesburg Christian Academy beat Elkmont 57-44 on Tuesday.

Whitesburg Christian Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.1 points per game. As for Tanner, their loss dropped their record down to 2-18.
