Baseball Recap: Comstock Takes a Loss

Comstock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 10-2 to the Centreville Bulldogs, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-2 on Thursday.

Comstock's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Centreville, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Comstock will venture away from home to challenge Marcellus at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Colts' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 10 runs per game this season. As for Centreville, they will take on Bloomingdale at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
