Soccer Game Preview: Killingly vs. Plainfield

The Killingly Trailbazers will head out on the road to challenge the Plainfield Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Plainfield took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Killingly, who comes in off a win.

Killingly's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. Everything went their way against New London as they made off with an 8-0 win. The result was nothing new for Killingly, who have now won five matches by four goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Plainfield's game on Saturday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of St. Bernard by a score of 2-1.

Plainfield's goal came courtesy of Gillian Brix, who's now up to 19 this season.

Killingly is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 25 goals over those five matchups. As for Plainfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4-3.
