Baseball Game Preview: Elida Bulldogs vs. McComb Panthers

The Elida Bulldogs will venture away from home to take on the McComb Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Elida's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so McComb's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Elida came out on top against Lima Senior on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run third inning. The Bulldogs walked away with a 6-3 win over the Spartans. The victory was nothing new for the Bulldogs as they're now sitting on three straight.

Elida's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ryan McGue, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, McComb started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Toledo Christian. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 7-6 on Friday.

McComb's loss dropped their record down to 7-11-1. As for Elida, their victory bumped their record up to 12-9.
