Basketball Recap: Hamilton Gets the Win

If Lamar County wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Hamilton, they should've done a better job of containing Kel Battle. The Hamilton Aggies blew past the Lamar County Bulldogs, posting a 97-51 victory thanks in part to Battle, who went 10 of 24 en route to 29 points and eight rebounds. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Spencer Tyra, who shot 4-for-7 from downtown and almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards. Those nine rebounds gave him a new career-high.

Hamilton's win bumped their record up to 9-16. As for Lamar County, they dropped their record down to 3-22 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Hamilton has already played their next game, a 69-58 loss against Haleyville on the 3rd. As for Lamar County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 72-53 victory against Lynn on the 30th.
