Volleyball Recap: Waubay/Summit Comes Up Short

Waubay/Summit was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Langford Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Waubay/Summit actually scored more points across those five sets (104-99), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-21, 16-25, 25-22, 15-11.

Waubay/Summit's record is now 5-9. As for Langford, their victory ended a five-match drought at home and bumped them up to 9-14.

Coming up, Waubay/Summit will welcome Britton-Hecla at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Langford, they will venture away from home to face off against Wilmot at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
