Basketball Recap: John Carroll Takes a Loss

John Carroll lost against Archbishop Spalding back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The John Carroll Patriots took a 69-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Archbishop Spalding Cavaliers. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Archbishop Spalding got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Braxton Bogard out in front who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Terrence Moultrie Jr, who went 7 of 8 en route to 16 points and five assists.

John Carroll's loss dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Archbishop Spalding, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. John Carroll has already played their next contest (against Gilman), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Archbishop Spalding will take on Glenelg Country at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Archbishop Spalding is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.9 points per game this season.
