Basketball Recap: Cloverleaf Extends Winning Streak to Three

Cloverleaf put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down the Wooster Generals 62-48. The Colts pushed the score to 51-30 by the end of the third, a deficit the Generals cut but never quite recovered from.

Cloverleaf's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Madi Young, who shot 56% from the field on her way to 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Those 13 points gave Young a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Evie Barth, who went 7-for-11 en route to 18 points and seven boards.

Cloverleaf smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.

Cloverleaf's victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Cloverleaf and Wooster will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Colts will square off against rival Springfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Wooster is set to take on their familiar foe Dover at 7:00 p.m. on December 3.
