Volleyball Recap: Leon Comes Up Short

Leon was the 2-0 winner over Academy of the Holy Names when they last played one another back in September of 2016, but their luck changed this time around. The Lions fell 2-0 to the Jaguars on Friday. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Academy of the Holy Names scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-17.

Leon's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Academy of the Holy Names, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Leon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Mater Lakes Academy on the 3rd. As for Academy of the Holy Names, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against DME Academy on the 3rd.
