Softball Recap: Union-Endicott Gets the Win

It was a proper cat-fight when Union-Endicott took on Johnson City on Monday. The Tigers walked away with a 5-2 win over the Wildcats. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Jade Taylor, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, one triple, and two RBI. Morgan Ashman was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Union-Endicott's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Johnson City, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Union-Endicott will challenge Maine-Endwell at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. As for Johnson City, they will host Homer at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
