Mt. Eden has gone a perfect 4-0 against Mission San Jose recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Mt. Eden Monarchs will look to defend their home field against the Mission San Jose Warriors at 4:00 p.m. Mt. Eden is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.5 runs per game this season.

Mt. Eden fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Kennedy on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Titans by a score of 8-7.

Annelise Burgos spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits. She also put up two walks, which were her first of the season.

On the hitting side, Jasmine Cruz and Kealani Temoche did some serious damage despite the final result: Cruz scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 3-for-6, while Temoche went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI Temoche has posted since back in April of 2024. Amaris Ruiz was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Mission San Jose unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 13-3 to St. Joseph Notre Dame back in February.

Anjali Singh was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Aria Gokani, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Mt. Eden's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Mission San Jose, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
