It's playoff time, and Columbia City had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the NorthWood Panthers on Tuesday as the Columbia City Eagles made off with a 51-29 victory. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 20 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, NorthWood saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ella Branham posted ten points and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Claire Payne, who scored eight points and nine rebounds.

Columbia City has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season. As for NorthWood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-7.

Columbia City will square off against Wawasee at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Wawasee has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with three straight defeats, while Columbia City will come in with six straight wins. NorthWood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
