Peabody Veterans Memorial and Salem are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2018, but likely not for long. The Tanners will be playing in front of their home fans against the Witches at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Friday, Peabody Veterans Memorial didn't have quite enough to beat Masconomet Regional and fell 7-5.

Meanwhile, Salem came up short against Gloucester on Friday and fell 6-1. That's two games in a row now that the Witches have lost by exactly five runs.

Salem saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Tsoutsouras, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
