Basketball Game Preview: St. Anthony Roman Legion vs. St. Joseph Lancers

The St. Anthony Roman Legion will venture away from home to face off against the St. Joseph Lancers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Anthony has given up an average of 51 points per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 77-28, which was the final score in St. Anthony's tilt against Racine Horlick on Tuesday.

St. Anthony got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Jose P Valle and Josh Morales, who each put up nine points. Valle also led the team in rebounds with eight. Anthony Ruvalcaba took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.

Meanwhile, St. Joseph posted their closest win since December 12, 2024 on Thursday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 44-43 victory over Shoreland Lutheran.

St. Joseph's win bumped their record up to 11-14. As for St. Anthony, their loss dropped their record down to 10-13.
