Basketball Recap: Wakefield Comes Up Short

Wakefield and Westfield squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Wakefield had to settle for second. They were dealt a 63-30 loss at the hands of the Westfield Bulldogs. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-12.

Westfield's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Isaiah Brown led the charge by putting up 14 points. Carter Brooks was another key player, earning 14 points.

Wakefield dropped their record down to 11-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Westfield, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 20-6.

Wakefield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Westfield, they have already played their next game, a 64-55 win against Yorktown on the 27th.
