Volleyball Recap: Sophie Ashworth Key Part of Team Effort in Warriors Win + How To Watch

Meadowbrook Academy typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Aucilla Christian proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 3-1. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Aucilla Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sophie Ashworth, who had 20 digs and two assists. Those 20 digs gave Ashworth a new career-high. Molly McNeill was another key player, getting 23 assists and three digs.

Aucilla Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They are 8-2 when they serve at least ten aces.

Despite the loss, Meadowbrook Academy still got an impressive performance from IVA FEARON, who had 38 assists and 11 digs. FEARON is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 14 every time she's taken the court this season.

Aucilla Christian's record now sits at 12-9. As for Meadowbrook Academy, their defeat ended a nine-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-5.

As of now, neither Aucilla Christian nor the Mustangs have any future games scheduled.
